In July 2023, the state of Wisconsin passed legislation related to early literacy instruction.  Here is a link to the law https://docs.legis.wisconsin.gov/2023/related/acts/20. This initiave follows suit with laws and policies in 36 other states requiring science-based reading instruction. What does this mean for multilingual learners (MLs) and their teachers? This blog site is dedicated to sharing voices, ideas, and tools from the field. We can help each other to explore how to enact a multilingual perspective and also comply with Act 20.
